My hearts been broke
My self-worth torn in two
Ain’t no question what went wrong
I listened too long to you
I tried to please and appease
Took out my checkbook till I was poor
Begged and pleaded till my knees bled
Still you walked out that door
I need someone who loves me
Just the way I am today
Who isn’t after my money
And has very little to say
Somebody who lifts my spirits
At the end of a hard work day
And never tells me I’m wrong
Till death with me will stay
Gonna get me a dog, A friend for life
Who will love me unconditionally
Looking in their eyes I’ll know
They will believe fully in me
Gonna get me a dog
I think maybe a peekapoo
Don’t worry baby
I sure ain’t naming it after you

Shari, this was so special! You are such a delight sometimes! lol
And wow! You are right. There is nothing like the loyalty of a dog, that's for sure!
But the right person who will be ALL that and more is out there for everyone. I am
convinced of that. And moreso now than I ever was before.
