Shadows Dance Along The Wall,
A Morbid Party For One And All.
A Childs Fear Manifests,
In Spite...
Of The Dark, Cold, Innocent Night.
Round and, and Round, Their Immagination Goes.
Where it stops,
Nobody knows...
Footsteps Creak Along The Floor,
A Monster Knocking At Their Bedroom Door.
Mommys Comforting blanket Wont Work Anymore.
Heart Beat Rising, and Eyes Closing...
A Silent Scream Builds Up Within Their Very Core.

DANG! Best poem I've seen on the site for a long time.... I loved it, it just flowed, it has edge, and it is powerfully written! My favorite part was "Mommys comforting blanket wont work anymore". Thanks for posting and I'm going to be sure to check out more of your work! |
