I hate my eyes
They come from you,
They are brown
I wish they were blue.
When I talk of you
It all crashes down
Mother closes up, father starts to frown.
It hurts him, the thought of you,
I love him, so it's something I can't do.
I see shadows of you
Reflecting at me.
In everything I do.
But in all the years
That pass between
back the and when,
when you see the tears
you made me cry,
I can pretend to hate you.
But all I feel is sorrow.
Maybe I'll feel it tomorrow.
I hate my eyes, they come from you.
