Where The World Can't See.

Topic: LoveRemembered

I remember how you could be such a sweet heart.
But I think I knew that we’d fall apart
At the start.
We were so different in every single way;
I tried so hard to get away.
But it never worked.
In the end, I always came back to you.
You always hurt me, too.
Yet I always came back,
Just so you could put me more out of whack.
You tore my life apart,
After I gave you my heart.
But you could be so sweet,
And instead of fighting you, I just sighed with defeat.
I knew I’d never win,
Not while looking at your cute grin.
Those blue eyes,
That made me believe so many lies.
How could you?
Play me and treat me like the world,
And then drop me and go running after that other girl.
I thought it was me,
That you didn’t like what you could see.
So I thought if I was skinny,
Like that other girl,
That beautiful pearl,
You’d want me back.
So I became a bulimic
And got very, very sick.
I realized I was flushing my life down that toilet,
So I stopped and just went on a diet.
I tried not to cut anymore for you,
But that proved so hard to do.
I kept doing it, hoping it’d bring me some satisfaction.
But it never did and then I finally decided that I was done.
You were over me,
And it took a while for me to finally see.
But you made me feel so happy,
Like no other guy could duplicate.
I told myself that I couldn’t just wait;
You weren’t coming back.
And now I finally see that;
We’re done and over with,
Forever and ever baby.

You will always have a place in my heart;
That hole you now dwell in has been there from the start.
And it’ll never go away,
No matter how much I deny it, or how much I say.
You left a hole in me,
And I hide it away where the world can’t see,
How really broken and damaged you left me.
