The kiss

Ruby red sweet and
Luscious As the nectar of the gods.
Captivating my every thought
Engulfing my breath it is hard to breathe.
Longing to taste the sweetness
Yearning to hold you close.
Your eyes keep dancing
Inviting me to kiss your lips and draw your breath.
Time stands still
Yet everyone is around.
I look into your eyes
Losing myself in your eyes.
Praying for time not to end
Begging for time to stand still.
The night has ended
You have left.
All I have are my
Thoughts of the kiss that made time stand still.
