Every mistake that I ever make
is every heart that I ever take
As every time I make them break
Holding the remains in my hands.
Bloody palms, dripping tears
Staring in her eyes, as she stands
Plain on her face, written her fears.
As I make every fear come true.
Before she falls, she looks into my eyes
she looks into and through
Down into my soul, to the black pit that lies
The ugly mess that I work so hard to hide
I spin my lies and smile...
If I tell them enough will it make them true?
Laughing and romancing and all the while
Hiding who I really am from you.
