~ A new journey~

Contributed by shelby on Friday, 18th July 2008 @ 09:49:17 AM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

I see you sitting there your world coated in blue.
I want to be the eraser that takes it all from you.

Be still your heart of woe my friend, turn the pain away

I look from one side, see clearly where you sit, I have sat on that bench too.
I know the steps of sadness, I know the pain of heartache.

It doesn't last my friend, unless you let it sit like stone

Look at this as a stepping stone, value your worth, you do not see what I am seeing.
I speak truth and send them light on fairy wings when I say, I see a good man a smart man.

cast those bad thoughts like a stone into a river vast, stand up my friend stand

You own a power deep within you, called heart and soul, reach for it grab it up and off you go.
Value the person whom you are, pay no mind to those, who wish to take the beauty and turn it to cold stone.

mend, sail, drive, stand, your adventures and happiness await you in the dawn of a new day.

I love you Kevin, you are an awesome guy it is hard to see you hurting this badly.
You can make it through this remember the adventures???

Ok Michelle if you are trying to make me cry - its working. I love you too my dear freind.

Thankyou.
Soon I will cast off these burdens and be on the road - free and lonely, but at least free once again.

Michelle, your heart is so huge! It is very humbling to witness ..

This was such a lovely dedication. There is nothing, compares to
the love of a friend. *warm hugs* I gotta say, I adored this line ..

"It doesn't last my friend, unless you let it sit like stone"

Beautifully true and wise, my dear friend and poet. Kevin is
lucky to have people like you there to support and comfort in
times when need is most keenly felt. :)

Awesome, sweets

~Breezy

I have to say, I don't really see much reason to like this poem. It's not in any way particularly bad, it's just rather empty. Even if it were stripped of its cliches and its bluntly-spoken, stereotypical sentiments, it still wouldn't say very much.

Your friend seemed to like it though, I guess that's what counts. Know your audience and all...

I will say it yet again....Michelle, you have a heart of gold. So many of us are so fortunate to be able to call you a friend. Beautiful piece.
