Mom I am so sorry
About all those bad things I did
You'll have to forgive me
After all I am just a kid
I Said things I diddn't mean
I did things I shouldn't have done
In sports events if I had taken your advice
I probably would have won
Now I look at a picture of us
When I was little
And did not yet cuss
Before I started chasing after boys
Before I abandoned all of my old toys
I love you mom
A tear rolls down my cheek
Sometime let's hang out this week
Just you and me
Just like how it used to be

I think a lot of us feel like this about our childhood's. Very insightful writing.

I really liked this poem. I remember when I realised my parents had as many faults as me, that their advice wasn't from an unreasonable view point, and they deserved and possibly needed as much support from me as I did them. The poem'll certainly remind me to call them more often |
