A Good-Bye For My Friend
Tonight I gaze for the last time at the magnificent moon
For I will be leaving this world all too soon
It shines so beautiful, true and bright
But I will be dead before the new morning’s light
I was so blessed to have you as my friend
You stood faithfully by me till the end
Tonight, though it is my time to go
There are just a few things you need to know
I have lived with the pain for as long as I could
I did my best as I promised you I would
My love for you I could never completely convey
The simple, “I Love You’s” were all I could say
I know there is no direct line between Heaven and Hell
So these thoughts before I leave you I have to tell
If I never get to see you on the other side
Thank you for making sharing my life as I went on this ride
I Love You. Good-Bye.
