and the fever had Me distant each memory took its turn.
I lay quiet there is no break in the flood
of good and bad, no judgement right or wrong.
Death is no wind-up toy, but a constant,
with phantoms moving in and out your soul.
Let Me promise one act can save You.
and I lay shallow, on a shallow plane
remembering ancient tears forgotten sins.
and the slicing, something will come,
what then.
