~Beyond Despair~

Contributed by shelby on Thursday, 10th July 2008 @ 09:50:51 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Have you ever felt like getting away
with really nowhere to go?
Felt alone inside your shell
each step you take a living hell.

When the world spins round beneath your feet
and the walls seem to crumble down around.
You look left then right but still feel lost
no marker to be found.

When you set your goals and see your dreams
only to have them all fade away
each door you open ten more close
there is no getting away.

When frustrations boils over
and you fall into a melting pot
with determination slowly fading
and you just at times want to stop.

Mourn the loss of another loved one
lost a bit more along the way
one foot infront of the other
hoping tomorrow comes is a better day.

Cry inside a swift drink of liquor
knowing it is just a temporary fix
the wanderlust reaches in
and wants to rip out your chest.

still feeling stuck somewhere beyond despair.

Another wonderful heartfelt and emotional piece. I guess this is the part of life that we all must learn to live with...it is also the hardest part, losing a loved one. Once again I am so very sorry for your loss.

~hugs~

Michelle,

I really like this one. Oh how I know what it is to feel stuck. But, I do manage to keep the faith that tomorrow will bring a better day. My friend, some of this strength I can thank you for ... for when I have felt weak and alone you have helped hold me up.

You are an inspiration and a true friend.
Beautifully written.

Peace

~Shannon

Michelle,
You know my prayers are with you.
Even through loss, you write such beauty.
Remember, you have wings and have taken
us all on your flights. I hope that soon, you will put those wings back on and soar high above it all..........Mike
