~I dance~

Contributed by shelby on Wednesday, 9th July 2008 @ 06:38:11 AM in AEST
Topic: goodbyepoetry

Note: I spoke with Aunt Ethel about an hour ago. This is what uncle Dale would want for us .

It comes in waves, smiles then tears.
Tears then smiles is the way emotions go.
Times such as these the human cycle
takes us into our own forms of mourning.

We hear his words, hear his voice, his laughter.
Recall poetry he knew by heart,
written by his hand and formed within his mind
to share with us and take it into our hearts.

Dry your tears, I am fine
sailing with angels on high.
Peaceful rest, Heaven bound
smile for me, no more frowns.

Celebrate my life, remember the dance
dance for me, I will be looking on.
Hear the music soft and light
I will be smiling down with delight.

Because I died it does not mean,
you tears should last, no music ring
you live on as life goes on
celebrate my life, dance dance for me.

Dry your tears, celebrate my life, dance in my memory, live I am watching near by.

A father, Military honors, Husband, grandfather, uncle, friend, poet, gardener, adventure man, fisherman,
builder man, the man of many things to many people. He shall be missed by all.

Oh, Michelle. Anyone who has lost somebody will be comforted by
this. It's beautiful, hun. And SO you !!

I'm sorry for your loss, but it is wonderful that you could write something
so lovely from such a sad moment in life. You are right. We all need to
dance and celebrate the lives we've known and been touched by.

Great post!

*hugs*

~Breezy

There is a time to mourn for loved ones that have passed but just remember that they are in a better place and we should be happy for them and not sad. And plus we will all be together once more when the time is right and God sees fit to bring us home too. Another heartfelt and beautiful write.

~hugs~
