Grief
|
Lost in this crowd, of grief and pain
watching tears fall like summer rain,
remembering a life that seems so long before,
dreaming of spirits on a midnight shore.
Dazed and confused, emotions overcome,
a phantom gliding, cold, angry and numb.
An old man smiling, warm, loving and gone
inside I call out, for him I sing a song.
Darkness engulfs them, so weak and forlorn,
They are ghosts among men, souls grey, hearts torn.
Agony and beauty, their faces do adorn,
love helps time pass, slowly untill the morn.
