My Son, My Soldier

My Son, My Soldier
You are beautiful
You are perfect
An open heart
A deep well wanting love
Deeper yet...
More love to give
You hold my love
You are my son, my soldier.

Turmoil finds our hearts
Trapped by the sins of thy father,
Trapped by the sins of mine
But know you are winged
Soaring into our hearts
Know you are above the sin
And the pains you may feel
Know you are perfect
You are beautiful
An oak shimmering in weakness
Of weather
Yet holds his branches open to care.

Do not weep like the willow
Just know you are loved
Know that shadows of darkness
Thoughts of worth are all wrong
Doubt not your perfection
The depth of your heart
Just know that in my eyes you are perfect
Zachary,
My son, my soldier.

May god protect you
Keep you safe
And bring warmth to your heart.
Love
--Kevin

Awesome write. You expressed your love for Zachary superbly well and I feel that Zachary is lucky to have you in his life and i am glad that you are ecstatic to have him in your life. The Wonders of God are amazing to bring people together like so. As you asked God to protect Zachary, I ask him to protect you both and to allow you two to be together. You appear to be a great fatherly figure & that is awesome. Great write, i love the emotion seeping from it.
