Lonely Love

Contributed by Ambivalence on Sunday, 6th July 2008 @ 01:14:09 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Again, I lay here alone in loneliness
through the changing seasons,
yet I am comfortable in sadness
for one unforgettable reason.
I am still waiting for your return
to have another chance with you,
but as my candle of hope barely burns,
I fear the flame will finish soon.

Unlike anyone else, only you can do these things.
You could uplift my weak and fallen soul.
You could clothe my stripped heart from the cold.
You could wipe from my flooded eyes the heavy tears.
You could help me overcome my foolish fears.
You could dig out my deep-rooted pessimism.
You could cast out my demons without exorcism.
You could rescue me from drowning in my sea of despair.
You could catch me from falling thousands of feet from the air.
You could turn my darkest nights into my brightest days.
You could convert my agnostic doubts into firm faith.
You could simply bring the greatest joy, just as before,
to the very loving but very lonely boy once more.

"doesth thou wait alone?"
said hand to glove.
"no, in deed, I wait
with love. . ." peace. elle

Great write Kevin,

You still wonderfully write the excusiating
pain, but always with that glimmer of hope.
Don't let go of that.....Mike
