"My sock has a rock in it,"
were her words,
describing what she would think of,
as a mediocre poem from yours truly.
I always ask her opinion of my poetry,
because I feel her opinion really matters,
which even surprises me.
For I don't normally find someone that,
within a day knowing them,
I trust with every inch of my being,
that I feel I can spill my life story to,
without judgement.
Never have I found someone that has as much in common with me as she does,
or is just as crazy as I am,
or can make me feel better about absolutely anything.
I knew right away she was my kindred spirit,
everything she says and thinks is right from my mind,
I also knew right away because,
I really do have rocks in my socks,
as she has unknowingly expressed.
