Turmoil Abounds, The End Approaches

An empty page stares back with soulless eyes
As thoughts and memories do under flawless skies
Because in the world that abounds what are truths but rectified lies
And with a pricked finger thoughts flow as the mind withers and dies
And no clouds give rain as the land cracks as it dries
With day’s passing Time and Death sit at the table to negotiate a compromise
And their final decision as it is cast to the heavens should come as no real surprise
As immortality to embrace ever so diligently man so incompetently tries
An endless dream that has taken a life while a wife and children shed tears with their cries
So it is with their broken hearts that with his demons he spreads his wings and flies
Among the stars he waits for answers but there are no replies
As Hell laughs and Heaven’s silence is heard through sorrowed sighs
So it is with his heavy heart he gives everything of this earth for his Heavenly prize
For angels shall rescue him and wing him home and finally sever all earthly ties

Rich,
this touched the heart it is nicely written but the shades of sadness bring a tear to the eyes.
I wish you and the family the very best and it will all work out I know it will. You love deep that hold a lot in itself.
