~Secret Place~

Contributed by shelby on Tuesday, 1st July 2008 @ 01:38:39 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Moonbeams glow end of day
all sad thoughts drift away
floating to the stars up high
residing where the angels sigh.

We borrowed wings from Angel friends.
Drifted peaceful around the bend
where moonbeams waved and stars put on a show.
Casting us in milky-ways pale blue glow.

Our journey took us to a field.
Where daisies dance and truth spilled.
Every trouble floated in hushed air.
Nature heard us talking, our secrets shared.

Hand in hand we walked along
like school age kids near the pond
Butterflies came along with us
painting the world with friendships love.

Skies blushed at us in the pink fashion
sunset kissed us with its passion
Our moon came back and showed her love
we grabbed hands once more and floated above.

Another beautiful write Michelle. I floated along with every line. I used "moonbeams" in a poem once and wondered if it was even a word. Though the visual of the word comes out so strong in this piece, to me at least..........Mike

Michelle, this was so very soft and breezy. It makes the reader just want
to close their eyes and float up their with you . .. dreaming and sighing
with every moonbeam. I love how it comes full circle, starting with soaring
through the universe to the daisies field and the sunset and then back again
to soar above. Just beautiful. The last stanza is gorgeous!!

*smiles*

Yes very airy and wanting to float to a place where things can be "all" Perfect,(at least to what one sees it as being that). Loved this
