anguished

The anguish of grief,
for something so brief...
chain, chain, chain
tied up tightly at my knees,
towing all our agonies.
Yet I know I perpetrated the crime
for the silver chain to give it to you.

I like this. short, but loaded with message.
Oddly enough, what it brings to my mind is that the same cascading effect can happen from a small good deed that eventually leads to something wonderful. Funny that. |
