You came to me in my dreams,
but, nothing is as it seems.
Here in my dreams sent from above,
your showing me the depth of your love.
An angel wrapped in silver and gold,
cloaking me in a blanket so I never get cold.
From the stars in heaven you've come,
asking me if I can give you a son.
Standing at the alter in the purest of whites,
looking on into the crowd of faces so bright.
Nothing can erase this joy in my heart,
not even the darkest of dark.
Forever yours I'll remain,
even when we both need a cane.
The day has come, lets get ready to go.
you have to wait outside, because I told you so.
Low and behold I've given you a son,
as we both knew this day would come.
An angel wrapped in blue and white
now isn't this quite a sight?

I like the subltry that makes you wonder if it is all just a dream....or a dream come true.
You can take this or leave it, but I think it would flow better if you added the word "the" ti this line....like this...
not even the darkest of the dark
But any way, intriguing piece! |
