Terminal Erotica

Topic: Lifepoems

~***~

Night's pounding ; techno- erotica
lips taste of sweat and sin
steel giants stare to darkness
thousand eye's empty glow

shake it girl and never stop
bass throbs 'gainst endless night
eyes reflect like falling star
tonight we're setting death on fire

beyond the steel and strobing lights
on the edge of our everything
hangs the black portrait of nothing
staring like a silent field

how long we've danced on the edge of decay
the trance , the thirst of transient forms
your skin tastes like vampiric candy
you taste.... like forever decaying

~***~
Terminal Erotica

interesting idea, it gives me the image of a dance club but with an undertone of metallic death. blood, death and decay. very cool

This is outstanding. I am blown away by the imagery and amazing word choices. This is an almost perfect piece of modern poetry. It's hip, sensual, and with a wonderful flow. I enjoyed this completely. Now I am off to read it again.

SUPERB!

Holy HELL!! Damn doug! This line, this right here ..

"tonight we're setting death on fire"

Good lord! That is fantastic!! If this is not poetry I don't know WHAT is!!!
This is deliciously dark and so enchanting. I adore how you've written this.
I believe I've told you before-- you have enormous talent for this genre.
It is like a mistress that clings to you lovingly with every pen stroke.

Truly mystical and brilliantly crafted!!

Oh, I love this...

This very much reminds me of the fetish party I went to a year or two ago. It seems like a dream now... You've captured the night life with the effortless grace you always have, I felt the bass in my veins, I remembered the lights that flashed and the bodies that writhed around me.

"tonight we're setting death on fire"

"beyond the steel and strobing lights
on the edge of our everything
hangs the black portrait of nothing
staring like a silent field"

... You know what... I'm gonna end up putting the whole bloody piece on this thing if I keep choosing favorites. I love love love love love the last stanza. The entire piece. I will now play a string of NIN and Combichrist songs to keep my 'high'. Thank you for this.

"you taste.... like forever decaying"

Please make this into a song. *hugs* All my love.

~S.
