They say you should forgive your foe
To turn the other cheek to those who lay you low
I'm not sure how many follow this advice
I bet if more poeple did this the world would be nice
So why don't we forgive each other
Why do we turn brother against brother
I'll never know why this world is as crazy as it is
But maybe it's this way because He made it His
It's all a test of heart and will
To see who will rise to the challenge or fall from the hill
So many struggle along a broken pathway
That to say you're forgiven doesn't even play
One doesn't care about forgiving another
Cause all anyone wants in this world is just a bit of cover

I like this poem, it feels so true, you know? But the ending feels a little confusing to me, other then that it's wonderful =) |

I like this. The message hit home, you know? And I get the end... this is good... I wish everyone in the world could read this... maybe the world would get better... |

I like this too!! The message is there, poetically speaking - feels a bit like you have gone for the rhyming more rather than the actual way the poem reads. Can sound a bit awkward sometimes. If you read it out loud you will see what I mean but fantastic work!! |
