DREAMS

I see it in my dreams
It comes to me at night.
Very dark….very fouls
It haunts a friend
And will not give up to the end.
I hold it at bay with
Everything I can say or do.
The beast is relentless,
Restless the stench and the radiant heat burn.
I have seen such beast before,
Nothing this persistent, nothing this deviant.
I fear for my friend and her soul,
I refuse to give up the fight, knowing it will return tonight!
