Fragility

Small and cold, I see the sky falling.
Bearing witness to the destruction.
What a startling realization I have arrived at.
A world not unlike my own, crushed.
Is it fate?
The will of god?
Or is it nature?
An act of normalcy?
Relinquished, all hope of life.
Immortality, finally achieved.
The foundation, shifted, collapsed.
A world so fragile.
Washed away.
Drowned.
There is nothing left.
Simply the echoing cries.
Immortalized in the falling sky.

This nice. I like it. The first thing that came to my mine was the scene from 9/11. Nice work. |

I have to agree with Texasw97....while I was reading this the image of 9/11 that so many of have embedded in our mind started to come into focus again. You did a beautiful job...keep up the great work.
