Scars of Love

Contributed by Anonymous44 on Thursday, 19th June 2008 @ 07:34:18 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Your first love will seem like the best
But after it will just be like the rest
After you realize that she isn’t the one
The tears will start to come

After the tears
Thoughts of suicide
And then the worst part
Is when you actually try

To take your life
You carve your pain into your wrist
Your whole life begins to twist
You isolate yourself from the world
Thinking that it is only a matter of time
Before for you are found
Hanging in the closet
One foot from the ground

You open your eyes and it is very bright
And you say to yourself something isn’t right
You look to your left and see a window
You look to your right
And you see your family
And you ask where am I?
They tell you that you are at the hospital

You slowly reach down and feel your neck
It is swollen and hurts when touched
Of course you are embarrassed
And turn your head in shame

But after the attempt
Things start to get better
The days are shorter
And the pain is gone
But you are still left with the scars
Just scars
Of your first love
Carved into your wrist

A lovely write, but I have always wondered why someone would want to kill themself because they lose a love... (This is just my opinion..nothing personal..)
