When the shadows seem to follow you wherever you roam.
Nights are to quiet and you feel so all alone.
Know that you have a friend, that understands your tears,
and I wish you sweet blessings to drive away hurts and fears.
I know that your heart is breaking and it feels your world is gone.
I felt the tender tone in the note that you sent.
Know that even if that lonely feeling rests near your heart.
You have a friend in me, we clicked from the start.
So no more tears only happy thoughts, your heart in time will mend.
There will be grassy banks with wild roses growing along the way.
The sun will shine, the rain will cease and your heart will soon mend.
And along the way of healing, always know in me you have a friend.

People come and go in life but we hold on to our friends. They are the gems of our world. The song in our heart.
Old are golden and new are silver to age with time.
