Dancing in the shadows of sorrow

Contributed by shelby on Wednesday, 18th June 2008 @ 04:38:59 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

~Hearts lay broken on the path, the path of destruction~
They are shattered and the blood runs out as the mirror breaks.
~Hearts that need replenishing from the poison that was filled~
The spirit, wounded falls to the ground from the deep seated ache.

We dance through the wounded wood in the rains of our sorrow

~Cold stone beneath the feet, the hardness reaches up the legs~
The stone that was cast caught cold and hard near the heart.
~Wounded to the very core, falling down in a slumbering heap~
Wave the flag of you have won, another penetrating defeat.

The trail of tears lead to us dancing in the rains of our sorrow

~Hearts are shattering and holding on to thin strings~
Each breath of life is slowing dying and the cracks will make life cease.
~A canopy of formed pain, the shroud of dark decay~
The heart in need of mending but it may now be to late.

We dance through the wounded wood in the rains of our sorrow
