Darkened Orbs, Shattered Windows to the Soul

Contributed by ingeniusidiot on Tuesday, 17th June 2008 @ 11:58:14 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Darkening orbs like the ever deepening pools that collect the tears of yesterday’s sorrow
Seeking answers that remain elusive as minutes from Death the soul does borrow
As darkness consumes the tired mind as it does the ever aging night
And tired eyes rest upon a bed of lies as they begin to see them as truth and light

Darkening orbs like the ever deepening pools that collect the drops of blood of yesterday’s hate
Seeking reasons while everyone gathers around with an empty glass and an empty plate
Yet the darkness consumes more and more of a useless life
As a shaky hand takes a white-knuckle grip around the handle of a rusty knife

Darkening orbs like the ever deepening pools that collect the tears of yesterday’s grief
Seeking direction when the heart and the soul share not the same belief
While darkness tries to console the weary heart as Death seeks reimbursement
For borrowed time as regret sets in for things that were said but never meant

Darkening orbs like the ever deepening pools that keep the soul in suspended animation
For all the sorrow and the pain nothing on earth can give compensation
And within these final breaths this tortured soul Death will send
To it eternal resting place finally the torment has come to an end

I am glad that I am able to give you so much inspiration my friend. This poem couldn't have turned out any better. And it is neat looking at it from different poitns of view so to speak... Well written. Dark, emotional and brilliant.

Take care
Christina

Rich,
I know you hate me,
but I must say these writes concern me.
What is happening to you?
Why so much hate and sorrow?
This is not you, where is the Rich I know?
We need to talk, I made a promise about something.
I am not wanting to have another blow up either.
I have not been reading your work until today because someone asked me to so do not get all ***** off again at me ok? Please........

I will leave you a rose and a hug and hope
this will pass for you.

Greatly composed Rich. Though dark as it may be. It is still a great piece.
