Suicide
All hope slipping away
I think about it everyday
I have tried before
And did not succeed,
I was almost there
I could see the light
But something told me it wasn’t right
Day after day night after night
You creep back into my mind
Thoughts of worthlessness
Thoughts of sorrow,
Nobody loves me
I will die tomorrow
It seems like the day
Is getting closer and closer
On that day
The world will be better
The world will be better,
Of course without me
I only wish you could see
That I will not be missed
And I will be forgotten
Just a faded memory
In the back of your mind
But I will know what I did was right
Don’t miss me
Don’t remember me
But never forget
That I love you

Ok you may not like what I say here to you.
The poem itself is well written. Suicide is a deal breaker to me. It is not better. It is also a self serving act with no regard to the ones who love you who are left behind in the aftermath of it. I know this first hand because I am part of the aftermath left behind.
You think others will forget you, be better off with out you and you will fade away in peoples hearts and minds. NOT SO! That never happens.
I hope that you were writing this to release but are not serious about carrying out with it.
Please please think before you do something like this. Life is hard YES but there is also a lot of sweet and tender moments to be lived in it as well.

While I partially agree with Shelby and Emystar, i can relate to your feeling of being forgotten, and the need to end it yourself.
Sometimes, that's what pushes us over the edge. But it's true that life is full of moments that take our breath away, though they are few and far between.
Thank you for posting this poem, it has really helped me see some things.
AWESOME write!

Hello,
When I wrote the following message I was also writing it with you and your poem in mind. I hope it helps.
Thanks SCM,
I appreciate the comment. I will participate when I can - I am not 100% sure what you want, but please let me explain. I am going through some truely dreadful things right now - in fact for the last 7 years. Unfortunately, things have culminated this last 3 months to go from really bad to really devestating. I am sorry if I seem a bit selfish at the moment, but I am really at a cross roads - in fact nearly suicidal due to the magnitude of how much I have suffered (yahh, yahh - poor me). I am posting my poems (written over the last 25 years) as therapy. I am working on a true change in the way things have gone oh so wrong over the last 7 years and hope they do get better - I must. I definitely understand the mentallity of people who take the easy road as it is so difficult to keep hope when you have been beaten down for so long, but I must try. Death not only means the end of misery, it means the end of any possible future moment of happiness. In case you are wondering about the depth of my explanation, I am also writing this with regard to the Poem "Suicide" just recently posted - I will leave a copy of this message there. My posting here is theraputic for now and i truely cry (as unmannly as it may seem) at each and every postive comment from those who have appreciated my postings. I do applogize if I have not been as interactive as some may like, but i hope they can understand that when I am ready I will participate more.
