The world as I see it

In the world I see, you trudge along in a mossy road network, in a desolate Times Square over the tombs of the sins we never want to face; your body as bare as the day you were born. You ram the doors to some abandoned superstructure mile high with thorny vines that blocks the way to the River Styx. That kamikaze charge toward the aspiration of freedom. You look around to see smoldering dust expanses, as the blazing wood piles tickle the sky sending a haze over that crimson sky. And when you look up...you see your life; its ending one day at a time.

I found myself right in the picture you painted with these words. Nicely done.
