Love is Dead, No Longer to be Reborn

Contributed by ingeniusidiot on Monday, 16th June 2008 @ 10:34:13 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

A bud blossoms under twilight’s moon
As dreams of love fly upon angel’s wing
For it is a love forever young that shall never feel Death’s sting
A love so pure dances to a different drum a different tune

Moments after opening its petals to evening’s light
Love’s song escapes upon the wind
As angel’s wings catch fire lovers’ dreams to Hell they send
And the petals turn from crimson hue to black as night

Love is like the rain from a passing storm having been trapped in a jar
As it falls from the garden shelf and shatters
As it dries and evaporates everything in life no longer matters
And with its final breath it makes a wish upon the last shooting star

2008

I am confused with the title and the poem.
The title says love is dead. The poem has reflection and under currents of a love or friendship lost or a forbidden type of love.I might be off base but the title and poem do not say the same thing to me.
It is a good poem dude.
