So soft and lovely to the sight
In the dark, warm and bright
Wanting love and didn't care
Should've known danger's there
Drawn to you by love's desire
Flew too close to that fatal fire
Loving you forced me to learn
Holding the flame will just burn
Sincerely wanting you as my wife
I dreamed of you with me for life
Truly thought that meant only us
To add him was extremely callous
Three will never a couple make
And I'm alone for the math's sake
No place for me in that equation
So pain grows instead of elation
Watching all my dreams dissolve
Love's a problem I can't resolve
Singed wings left me wishing to die
Should've flew away to the open sky

Intriguing title and creative analogy, R. The moth will ever and always
be drawn to that which could ultimately be a fated end. There is no logic
to his desire and thus will never understand math. Good thought provoking
write. LOVE the last line, especially! :)
