One moment of rejection or 'what ifs' forever
Why can't I just bring myself to say it?
Maybe I'm just destined to lose
I know it has to be my fault
But why can't I just blame you?
I could shout it from the rooftops
Or I could whisper it in your ear
I want you, I need you, I just can't be without you
If there was a spark between us
I'd move closer and start a fire
There's no barriers in between us
Yet we're a thousand miles apart
I'm the junkie who needs your fix
I'm the drunk without your drink
But so these words even matter?
Because I don't know if you're real
