What Could I Say Blues

Contributed by reprobate on Friday, 13th June 2008 @ 10:55:54 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I saw you yesterday, at the store...shopping
Wished it was us, holding hands and laughing
There I was, alone in the snack foods...hiding
Me, my sadness and junk...Clean up in aisle 3

Yep, it's me here...Half a man without my heart
An empty wreck pushing my cart full of dreams
Watching, wishing, I might find feet and tongue
I knew it was no good, you made up your mind

I wished for nerve to come out and greet you
Would've probably stuttered Hello, Beautiful
How are you...A lot happier than me, I'm sure
Been a while since last I saw your lovely smile

So what's new...how's the world been for you
Hope all is better for you than it's been for me
Certainly wouldn't want you to be sad, not ever
And definitely never as blue as I have become

You were my universe, in case I forgot to tell you
My sun rose with your joy, set with your leaving
I haven't been worth anything to anybody since
Even my debit card forgot who I was, you know

I do wish all of YOUR dreams have happy endings
Yeah, I truly hope everything is all right with you
That's okay...you can tell me anything...remember
Though now I wish you forgot how to say goodbye

Sad sheet here. I hope you get her back. A girl in seventh grade told me in ninth grade what I lacked; self confidence. Not saying you don/'/t have it; I don/'/t know you. But on first read seems like that might help.

Great poem conveying the rumblings of your heart.

Invierno
