I sit here in pain while you beat me with your words.
You said aweful things to me. I thought I would
have never heard. Smack, Pow in my heart
I could feel. In my mind I kept thinking this
can't be for real. You kept saying I don't like
you and I wish you would leave, but because of the
pain all I could do was freeze. You speak as if
I've never felt this way before, their's been plenty of
times I could have walked out the door, like when
the doctor said sorry it won't happen for you two.
I could have been cold and walked out on you.
When the days of wine & roses was sleeping in my bed.
I could have been mean and left then, but I prayed for you
instead. When your friend came home my stomach felt queasy
because I knew then that things would'nt be easy. One day
you'll realize to watch what you say. God don't like ugly like momma used
to say. You said you don't need me and you could careless.
No more will I allow you to take me through stress. I will pray to God
that your heart he will heal, cause the Lord alrady knows exactly how
I feel. I took those vows and I meant what I said. When you took
them did you mean it or was it all in your head?
