He will return

Topic: DarkPoetry

Times are hard this I know.
Gas is high paychecks are low.
Housing costs, and food prices
everything on the rise.

I still do not understand,
why some turn to crime.
When everyone is working hard
to make a nickel and a dime.

I am a bit spooked you see,
to return to work tomorrow.
My second day at this place,
we are having a few problems.

The young thug returned this morning.
After being told he cannot come back.
He was greeted at the door
and told his feet to get to packing.

I saw the manner and look in his eyes,
the cold hard stare of evil.
We were informed he will be back
and be sure to watch out for the rest of his buddies.

Manager said it would be a good idea
to have a Vancouver patrol man close by tomorrow.
When I left the doors to return to my car
I for a brief moment wide eyed took a close look around.

What has happened to our youth today?
When they can stand so bold.
Instead of respect and say yes sir I will walk away
they rather stand in confrontational mode.

The times are hard this I know,
the world we live in full of fear.
Why resort to violence and robbery?
When the rest of us are working hard for a buck?

I'm sure you've realized this but:
Some people will always find the easy way out.
Cheaters cheat.
