A ladder made
A tool of yours
You have betrayed
Justice served
I was used
As the first step
The initial phase
Of your wronged ascension
That was the last time
You could look me in the eyes
Before the rot beneath
Took hold of you
I can see what others don’t
The guilt that manifests inside you
The mighty burden that wears you down
That will once again bring you to your knees
But look at you now
What a beautiful sight
Where is your halo my dear?
All I see is ashen wool.
Just how long do you believe
You can fly on those papers wings
The storm has come to tear you down
And rip you from where you don’t belong.

That is hard hitting right there, I loved paper wings.
Intense and powerful write.
