My heart sank so low tonight; I tried to hold back the tears
Thinking of you with someone else brought back all my fears.
Fears that I am just someone to help you pass the time
Feelings of complete gloom each time I read your rhyme.
My heart sank so low today, when I said I’d give you some space.
I hope you didn’t happen to see, the tears streaming down my face.
My heart sank so low today, when I saw the hurt in your eyes.
The ache you kept in check for days and tried so hard to disguise.
My heart sank so low today, when I heard the pain in your voice.
Your silence today worried me no end but I knew it was your choice.
Therefore, it is with a sinking heart, that I bid you farewell
I will no longer subject you to walking on eggshells.

Wow Jenni, This is a sad write. I hope your friend understands what it takes for you to stand aside from a friendship. I do hope this istuation resolves itself quickly.
