Black and diamond with, crimson and gold
believing and feeling, forever to hold
peace is to death what life is to hurt
To ashes my heart and home have burnt
trying is to live
as giving up is to die
Never in this life will more sadness and beauty
exist in my mind

I loved the entire crimson and gold theory here.
To ashes my heart and home have burnt, WOW!
That reaches the reader deeply. Something I relate to right to the very core.
as giving up is to die.......... yes we all have those moments when we want to wave the white flag and retreat into a cave but you know what?? Through each crisis we become stronger and there is a lot of living to do and happiness to find out there.
Reba asked the question in her song.. Is there life out there? YES there is!
Wonderful write.
