We've been friends a long time since I gave you my heart.
I knew we would be close right from the start.
When I look at us now I wonder where did our friendship go.
I have to believe that only God knows.
We once loved the same things and our talks were full of laughter.
Now when we talk it seems like idle chatter.
We would take long drives anywhere.
Now when we're together neither one of us seems to care.
Our minds have become clouded with everyday life.
Unemployment, and high gas prices, who would'nt have strife.
Can we start anew? Think things through?
You teach me and I'll teach you?
Please Lord show us how to be friends, so my
husband and I can fall in love again.
