Taking A Stand

Contributed by DesolantDreamer on Tuesday, 10th June 2008 @ 03:59:48 AM in AEST
Topic: political

I feel like falling down
Giving up and walking out
Here in Hell there’s no remorse
Just pain, hate, and doubt
You walk right past me
Not giving a second thought
I lie broken, bloody at your feet
How many battles have we fought?
The pain is just growing more intense
Watching you climb blindly on
Stepping on the fallen, the hurt
Never mind us, we’re all just devil spawn
You continue your battle forward
Longing to be at the top
It began with a need
Now you don’t know how to stop
The control, the power
It’s all too good to give up
Defeat the ones that are different
Mold them early, a military pup
Ethics, wrongs, and rights
All are to be defined by your eyes
Only you know what’s good and bad
Lead them all to think that you are wise
I can’t let you control us with your bigot ways
Feeding off of our fears, our insecurities
Someone has to take a stand, even when you kick them down
And show the blind your impurities

I refuse to live in your world
Where honor’s meaning is unfurled

Nicely put. I especially like the imagery of military pup.
Stab at Bush? perhaps.
