I'm not afraid
You walked away and I tried not to cry
But I miss you
And I know that you've found peace at last
But I really miss you
It's tearing me up inside
Every night I lay down and close my eyes
Trying not to let it eat at me
But I miss you
And I know that you're never coming back
But I really miss you
Hey do you remember those long nights
Our awful fights
I know we had our problems but we did good didn't we
Sometimes I sit by the phone
Hoping you would call me
And we could work things out like we used to do
The nights are cold
Since you walked away from me
And I miss you
You're never coming home, are you?
And I really miss you
So here on my bed I'm going to stay
Holding the shirt that still holds your scent
Cause I miss you
And it hurts so much to lay here alone
Because I really miss you (you're not coming home, are you?)

when I miss someone as you've describe it's as if a part of myself disappeared as well, so the emptiness is doubled. . . still I would not trade what lead to such an end, not for anything. nicely done. peace. elle
