Stop And Smell The Flowers

Contributed by Jenni_K on Saturday, 7th June 2008 @ 05:50:01 AM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

~~^~~

Lying in a meadow of sweet smelling flowers
Listening to the cool, clear water, running gently over river rocks
The soft breeze caresses my face
Allowing my mind to go blank
A wave of tranquility overtakes my body
My eyes look towards the Heavens
I see unfamiliar faces in the wispy clouds
Inhaling the earthy scent below me
I feel a sense of harmony with nature
Oh, a little butterfly flutters by
This brings a huge smile to my lips
Closing my eyes now
Listening to my favourite songs
Playing in my head
Ahhh
Serenity at last
A feeling of calm envelops me
As I drift into a peaceful slumber

~~^~~

Nice written, allthough, I feel that it is a little "forced"/"bored" written. Many of your poems are truly nice written but read a little "standard". Offcourse I dont mean this bad.......U understand......Kind Regards

Woops, I think that went way over someones head.
I didn't find it boring at all.
From your comment to steve and you felling much better, I thought the whole poem was about tunning out the planet and totally relaxing.
It's really funny as I read the first two lines of your poem that the two years you were away
had really seasoned your writing, etc. Not that there was anything wrong back then 'cause I'm been your fan for many years.
Awesome work. I've never found anything bad about any of your writes.
huggs, luv, peace, joy,
emy

Jen,
I loved this and the first two lines just took me away.
Yes Steve gave some good advice. Nature will heal all things.
I found this delightful and I am glad you are feeling better.

May I come watch the butterfly with you??

Huggers

Michelle
