broken promises

Contributed by kolbrun on Friday, 14th March 2003 @ 06:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

When two are two there is no pain,
To bridge a gap is a wondrous thing,
Why must what you say be words in vain?
Why cant you let your heart dance and sing?

What ill another has done is their to claim,
Upon another there should be no blame.
When a heart's in pain should it lash out in hurt,
Should everything be under thine feet as the dirt.

Silence is supposed to be a treat,
For much is laughter in our meet,
No matter what you choose to say,
Your actions are the proof everyday.

Extending and holding you in love,
Look not at promises from above,
Start with you to heal the pain,
Lest for thy pain thou goest insane.

Where would you take your mind,
Within -- thine own games you will find,
Take this love, please, for thee let it shine,
And relish all those whom to you are kind.

Sit in the silence and dare to feel,
That which makes you dare to be real,
no visions of rainbows in the skies above
Broken Promises come from a broken love.

I'm with elly ..........go with the flow........ Otherwise you'll never know. I much prefer to try, (even if I fail)....rather than to look back and wish I had. I loved you poem..... uncertainty and excitement...a magical mix.
