the inadequacy

Contributed by elle on Friday, 6th June 2008 @ 07:01:17 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

I am not ok. I'm sure. not yet. . .
I am still this fragile vessel of lifes' attempting,
of lifes' concept.
therefore, the inadequacy of everything
becomes complex,
requires compassion. . .
truely. . . gently. . with kind intent
not with careless overlooking,
or sideways glances of indifference,
not with lack of my attention,
not with sorrow of neglect.
good-bye to all exceptions given.
adieu to bondage, served up as love.
chained to shackle, never freeing
blindly bond. how absurd. . .?
please, oh please, be my desiring
. . . the sweet attempt of precious being.
peace. . .
complete, enough to share.
I am borrowing. . .
clever sifting.
I, borrowing myself
& feeling empty
but not alone, not unaware.
my underneath is somehow hiden
by debris of carelessness.
my insides raw
from spinal tapping, gravity & self-defense.
my mind holds shades
of somehow parting
with my ghosts of sanity,
refined upon the air of arming,
denied disarming by defeat.
. . . onto the path of faint recalling
listless now & somehow falling.
now, I fall
to another hint of humanness.
I fall. . . to you
my kindred spirit.
silent spirit of relief.
fellow lover
cradling this thing called love. . .
let us not refuse our lesson,
turn too soon & let it pass.
let us not grieve our growth,
when somehow
we have found its' path.
we weep & weave a victim's covering
or seem to sethe with angers' flare
& scatter the days that God has given.
a scattering that lovers' dare.
I am not fine. . .
but plagued with myself
challenged by the you I spare
from my accord or disapproval
from everything
from all dispair. . .
I loved you once. . .& now forever.
short of heaven
nothing to compare.
