RAGING STORM

Contributed by deadwriter on Friday, 6th June 2008 @ 06:28:11 AM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

Raging Storm

Tonight the heavens put on a show
Lightning scattered to and fro
It continually lit up the sky
It was captivating to the eye

I thought about you while watching the storm
Wondering if you were safe and warm
Hoping you were somewhere dry
Without a single tear in your eye

I know recent events have made you sad
Even have pushed you to be mad
I want you to see that in me you will find
A true friend that will work to ease your mind

I will do my best to calm the storm in your life
To bring happiness by destroying the strife
I know we cannot really sit together and talk
But from your side I will never walk

Beautiful write...makes me wish I could go back to TX and watch the storms from my parent front porch like I used to do as a child. You paint a beautiful picture...and I hope you and your friend remain close.

Rich
