Mommy please don’t cry
We all make mistakes and you have been great
It wasn’t your fault for you were young and naïve
Hardship made you strong, a strength many admire
You’ve made me a strong woman although I am weak
A weak woman that still resents you yet loves you too much to let you know
Can’t let you know how I can’t forgive you for letting him treat my brother that way
A young innocent boy with such a character and humble self
How could you let that man destroy him?
Can’t let you know how I can’t forgive you for not sending me to Washington
It was a great honor you know, being invited by the president
Thank you for letting me miss out on such a great experience
Can’t let you know how I can’t forgive you for not helping me through college
I was lost all alone through high school, you never bothered to ask or congratulate me
I was an honor student, you didn’t care, not cared enough to help me through schooling
Can’t let you know how I can’t forgive you for giving me such a bad body image
Looking in the mirror was torture, asking for seconds was embarrassing
Why didn’t you accept I wasn’t a size two, but instead a curvy size 7?
Mommy please don’t cry

| this is very painful to read & while trying to accept the responsiblity we have for each other, especailly our blood. God bless us so we can forgive & also be forgiven. for every mistake we suffer, we may also one day cause pain. . . the double edged sword of our human frailties. don't think she does not cry. . . thank you for sharing this. peace. elle |

Touching write. It touches on so many heartaches.
Sometimes it is easier to not say anything but then it eats us until raw inside. I hope that your path back to understanding finds you.
