A Needle, A Bagpipe, And A Baby's Laughter

A needle, bagpipe, and a baby’s laughter
By Fernando Castillo

As time went by and still no sign of her
An intense feeling of sadness came over me
It was too late to go anywhere
Didn’t know why she didn’t show
Telling my self that something must had happen
Something that was beyond her control
But by then I didn’t want to think about it
Feeling like *****
I needed something to take away
This sorrow
This pain

Feeling so alone, helpless, scarred
Of what’s to come
I split my mind wide open
To take a look inside
I don’t recognize my surrounding
Can’t tell if this is true or dream
Lights out, pitch black
That’s all I remember before opening my eyes
Blue skies and blades of grass
I sit up and look around
Unable to fathom this trip I must have taken
I know I’ve never been to this place
Yet I feel a sense of comfort and belonging

But now I see the fear in her eyes
So many times, too many times
I listen to what she says
She explains,
The story always the same
Would think she’d get tired of feeling so much pain
Tells me that never again
Says she’s sick of playing their game

It feels so obvious now
Can’t continue lying to my self
No point in laughing, smiling, or having butterflies inside of me
Don’t even know why I keep looking out the window
Every time I hear somebody
Thinking it might be her
So many times she say she’d come
Can’t remember the last time she came
Yet, I cant help but keep looking outside
For her.

Hang tuff.
huggs, prayer, hope,
