Ocean of Love, Angel Nowhere in Sight

Contributed by ingeniusidiot on Tuesday, 3rd June 2008 @ 07:52:37 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

From the tides of this raging whirlpool, love has defined its destiny
As the cerulean hue of the ocean blends with an array of thoughts and images as they come to mind
And as one hand finds another and eyes meet in a silencing grip within a daydream’s reality
I ask myself, “Is this what I was meant to find?”

Across the endless miles and bottomless blue abyss
As sky and ocean collide making the lovesick heart not be able to discern truth from fantasy
Watching clouds float aimlessly by without a single care
Waiting as the moment approaches when time will cease and it will be just you and me

Standing upon this sandy shore hearing the loons cry songs of love
As thunder booms and waves crash amongst rocks jagged and distraught
I see a life that feels so right but is not mine to have nor hold
While watching a dream disappear and the darkness it has brought

With weary ears listening as loons sing by day and the nightingales by evening light
Singing both their songs of love and longing for someone that time cannot erase
For it was upon this bleached sand where a dream was born
Which was as fragile as her gown of chiffon and lace

And within these worlds of reality and fantasy our memories grow and live
Watching as the darkness parts amongst the remains of yesterday
I shall no longer be afraid to open these eyes
Because within my heart this dream shall forever remain to stay

I see a huge mural painted on the side of a mountain that keep the viewer looking for hours. That paining is your write. Great job.

Beautifully written.. wouldn't you say so yourself...I am glad that I did take it on a bit of the dark side because the ending fills the reader with a sense of hope that though there are troubles somethings are never to be lost. We write wonders together and I am looking forward to this one that just became a co-write.

Take care
Christina

Enjoyed reading this. Liked the use of whirlpools and 'bottomless blue abyss' to illustrate inner turmoil. V refreshing and beautiful. Also liked the honesty and uncertainty of the narrator 'I ask myself, “Is this what I was meant to find?” ' which is very human.

chirio,
