Chasing Girls

Contributed by jyssvw on Sunday, 1st June 2008 @ 10:03:22 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

You aren’t who I thought you were
Or are you?
My shooting star
My lover
My pain
My thunder and rain
Without you
With you
(Either way)
Nothing remains

Here I go
Letting you go
Letting you know
Loving you slow

Showing you how
Breathing into you life
Reaching into your heart
Pulling out all I can find
Feeding you words
Absorbing the hurt
Pausing first
Then beginning to climb
Into your head
Into your mind
Looking to find
Pieces of puzzles
Lost in space and time
Misplaced with haste
Struggling to escape
Memories of ache
Images contain
Nothing remains

Coming to terms
All I can learn
All I can hope
Is for you to return
The love I share
The kisses I toss
The gift of togetherness
All these moments are lost
All I can see
All I can smell
Is the all of you
Is the complete farewell
All that is true
All that pertains
Nothing left in me
Nothing remains

Burdens released
Troubles unleashed
Ferocious tears stream
Into bubbles of feared speech
Long letters never reach
Intended recipients plead
A return of sanity
A return of something complete
Something in dire need
Of someone else indeed
There is more love to seed
More blood to bleed
More souls to greet
More faces to touch
Less friction in such
Predicaments a must
A trifle of lust
A bit of much
Little bits add up
To piles of unholy love
From which will rise
Below and above
A fire which flames
Inside of us
As you call my name
There is no shame
It is not you
I am to blame
Nothing remains

jyss, judging by the title, I was expecting something different from this.
But I was not disappointed none-the-less. There is a hoard of emotion
awash in this and it seems to gain in both intensity and power as you reach
the end. A look inside the monster that controls hearts and quite often, heads.

Damn fine writing, jyss. As always ~

I have to agree with Breezy on this one.
I was definitely expecting something different, something more juvenile.
This is anything but that.
Fantastic write.
